I really should have put something inside the instrument cluster hole before I painted, but I didn't have thatenlightened thought until later.



Here you can see where I've selectively masked off areas that I want the undercoating/bedliner to show through, and actually painted over it on other areas to provide an added measure of protection.

The product I'm using is called Zero Rust. It actually would have made a nice final coat in itself. It contains a large amount of solids, is very hard to stir up, but provides absolute rust protection in a single stage application. This product to date has a record of 2000 hours in a salt spray tank with NO rust whatsoever and is specified for rust protection on all vehicles made for the military
