Here's the thing. I have a really good set of 1979 original FJ 40 seats in my basement, but they need recovering, and that is beyond my financial AND time budget for now, So I've opted for a set of seat covers for those awful Honda seats that I can't seem to get rid of. It will make it look better for now until I can get the real seats reupholstered and installed.

Which raises another problem. Here as you can see, I've custom fabricated a bridge to go from the too narrow seats to the original braces. To install the other seats will take some fabrication too, as the later model FJ 40's had a different body tub configuration. I will need to fabricate a set of brackets.
