This is when I got my first pictures of the inlay work that Joshua was doing. I was truly stunned at what I saw. What an amazing craftsman this person is. He had decided to flank the meander inlay with herringbone, another element that he would eventually carry over to other parts of the guitar to tie it all together. In my email to him after I saw these pictures I wrote:
"Oh my God...I cannot believe how this looks!!! Totally amazing. I could notbe more pleased.. Thank you Josh for doing such a wonderful job on this!!!

Joshua Writes:
Jerry - glad you like it! I'm fairly proud of it, and I have to say its an extremely hard thing to photograph... it looks so much more exquisite in real life. It'll be one for the website for sure...I keep imagining how its going to look once completed, and I think its going to look like its moving 100 miles per hour while standing still. There is a lot of movement to the herringbone, and once its around all the edges of the guitar it's going to be quite striking. It looks good from a distance too.
Regards,
Josh
