Client Invoicing System
I coded the client invoicing system and client information manager that Grapevine Design uses on a daily basis. This Filemaker Pro relational database handles all aspects of tracking and billing their clients nationwide. The Personal Information Manager portion of this database can be downloaded by clicking here.
QuarkXpress Production-Workflow Applescript
Frequently in the graphics industry, custom solutions are needed to facilitate production workflow for repetitive tasks. For the Macintosh environment, Applescript provides a system wide inter-application communication coding environment whereby applications can communicate with each other and to the Macintosh OS as well using Applescript. This degree of flexibility makes coding custom solutions feasible. In this case, I coded an Applescript solution to automate the process of creating EPS files with a specific naming convention from QuarkXpress in a batch file parent directory with an indeterminate and usually very large number of sub-hierarchical directories.
I currently remain an on-call consultant for many web design related issues, hardware and software troubleshooting for Grapevine Design.

Inherent specializes in high-end websites and intranets for legal firms. I have been called on many times to do freelance web - related work for them.

While consulting for HOSTS Corporation I:

Wrote a database designed to fulfill specific needs in tracking educational institutions that use HOSTS products. Allows output of comparative test scores in the form of graphs, personal testimonials and quotes from clients, and names and addresses of key personnel to field representatives nationwide. Information is maintained at the home office and is remotely available from the local server.
When company needs dictated, upon request, accomplished a complete re-write of the application in native 4D programming environment meeting a two week deadline. This was especially challenging as it involved concurrently learning 4D's native programming language, AND writing the database during this two week period.
Set up the company website.
Trained graphic arts employees, and in-house programmers in HTML, FTP techniques, appropriate graphic formats (server and client side image mapping, transparent and interlaced GIFS and JPEGS) for internet use.
Taught company employees how to access and use CGI scripts, SSI's, and forms.
Acquired domain name for HOSTS and placed it on all major internet search engines.
